Ombretta Tempra

Ombretta is the Chief of the Land, Housing and Shelter Section at UN-Habitat. She leads the global housing, land and slum upgrading portfolios of the Agency. She oversees the Global Land Tool Network and manages the Arab Land Initiative since its establishment in 2016. Previously, she worked as a Land Specialist in the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Arab States, she has been the Global Coordinator of the Housing, Land and Property Area of Responsibility, and she provided technical advice on land management, slum upgrading, shelter, planning, women’s rights and durable solutions to displacement to country operations and partners. Her work is published in United Nations and universities’ press.
