World Habitat, in partnership with FEANTSA, is coordinating the European End Street Homelessness Campaign – a new pan European movement of cities, working together to permanently house Europe’s most vulnerable people and end chronic street homelessness in those cities by 2020.
At the annual FEANTSA policy conference held in Brussels in June we ran a workshop on building a European movement to end street homelessness.
World Habitat Director, David Ireland, chaired the workshop, which included insights from three cities currently involved in the campaign and their experiences so far.
Some of their presentations are available below:
- Marta Olaria from Barcelona (Advocacy officer, Arrels Fundació)
- Luis Perea from Valencia (Strategic Development Director, RAIS Fundación) and Begoña Pastor (Director for Mediterranean Area, RAIS Fundación)
- Petra Salva from London (Director of Services, St. Mungos)
David Ireland’s blog talks about the campaign, FEANTSA conference and the importance of trying something new.
