A large-scale urban renewal ecological project involving 350 dwellings. It focuses on energy and water saving and the use of sound building materials. It is the first development and demonstration project in Denmark which integrates ecological solutions in urban renewal on a large scale. Due for completion in the year 2000, a series of sub-projects have already been completed including the Yellow House (a block of 8 flats demonstrating advanced energy saving solutions) and the Blue House (a ten block flat incorporating water saving solutions). A green neighbourhood is being established throughout the area. The project is joint-funded by the municipality, central government and the private sector.
