A commemorative booklet of the global celebration of World Habitat Day 2008 in Luanda, Angola, including detailed descriptions of the World Habitat Award winning projects in the United States and Viet Nam.

The theme of the 2008 global celebration of World Habitat Day was ‘Harmonious Cities’.

The commemorative report includes:

  • A World Habitat Day Message – Mr Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General, United Nations
  • Harmonious Cities – Mrs Anna Tibaijuka, Executive Director, UN-HABITAT
  • A summary of the 2008 World Habitat Award winning projects: Champlain Housing Trust – Community Land Trust Innovation, USA and Preventing Typhoon Damage to Housing, Viet Nam.
