A commemorative booklet of the global celebrations of World Habitat Day 2002 in Brussels, Belgium, including detailed descriptions of the World Habitat Award winning projects in Cuba and Japan.

The global celebration of World Habitat Day 2002 took place in Brussels, Belgium and the theme for the day was City-to-City Co-operation. The commemorative report includes:

  • World Habitat Day Message from Mr Kofi Annan, Secretary-General, United Nations.
  • City-to-City Co-operation – Mrs Anna Tibaijuka, Under Secretary-General, United Nations and Executive Director, United Nations Human Settlements Programme, (UN-HABITAT).
  • A summary of the 2002 World Habitat Award winning projects: the Architect in the Community Programme, Cuba and the Setagaya-ku Fukasawa Symbiotic Housing Project in Tokyo, Japan.
