Community-led housing – Making it happen

Most people agree that there is a housing problem in the UK…there aren’t enough suitable houses… Communities could help fill that gap.

BSHF has produced a downloadable leaflet summarising key facts about community-led housing and identifying the differing roles of government, housing associations etc in enabling the sector to expand.

For example, we believe that national government should encourage local authorities to include community-led housing via the National Planning Practice Guidance and increase land allocation and grant support to affordable community-led housing projects.
