People with experience of international housing or of financial investment are invited to apply to join World Habitat as Trustees.

David Ireland, Director of World Habitat, said:

“Billions of people around the world lack a safe home due to conflict, poverty, natural disasters, and poor housing rights. At World Habitat, we want to change that through finding the housing solutions that really make a difference. We then help those ideas to grow and transfer them to where they are needed most.”

“And you can help influence the future work of World Habitat. Following our recently refreshed identity, we are now developing an ambitious new strategy. And we are looking  for new people to join us to help shape that future and the futures of people all over the world.”

As a Trustee you would be expected to attend four half-day board meetings each year (held in our offices in Coalville in Leicestershire) as well as an annual strategy planning day. These are unpaid positions, but expenses are refunded.

If you would like to join us at World Habitat, please send your CV and a supporting statement – detailing the skills and experience you could bring to the role – to: recruitment@world-habitat.org by 09:00 (GMT) on Monday 21 May 2018.

More information about World Habitat and our work can be found on this website, on Twitter and Facebook.

And if you would like an informal discussion on the role, please contact our Director David Ireland by email: recruitment@world-habitat.org or by phone 01530 510444.
