The global celebration of World Habitat Day 1994 took place in Dakar, Senegal and the theme for the day was Home and the Family. The commemorative report includes:

  • World Habitat Day Message from Dr Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Secretary-General, United Nations.
  • Home and the Family – Dr Wally N’Dow, Assistant Secretary-General, United Nations Centre for Human Settlements.
  • A summary of the 1994 World Habitat Award winning projects: the Indore Habitat Project in India, the SOS Village in Aqaba, Jordan and the Skotteparken Low-Energy Housing Project in Denmark.
