This series of roundtables will explore and discuss the key challenges, opportunities, and recommendations arising from the study ‘Ending Homelessness in Central and Eastern Europe: Making the Shift to a Housing-led System’ and the policy briefings for each of the four countries covered: Croatia, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.

Each roundtable will be an opportunity to take a deeper dive into the recommendations from the study, explore the potential advantages and challenges related to transitioning to a housing-led approach and work collaboratively to identify actionable next steps to drive this change in the region.

This event is organized by World Habitat and promises to be a crucial step towards reshaping the homelessness response landscape in Central and Eastern Europe

Hungary: 2 October, 2023 14:00 – 16.00 CEST

Romania: 9 October, 2023 15:00 – 17.00 EEST

Slovakia: 12 October 2023 10:30 – 12.30 CET

Croatia: 31 October, 2023 10:00 AM – 12:00PM CET

 

Audience: Policymakers and decision-makers at municipal or national government level, EU agency representatives, NGOs working in homelessness and housing sectors, academics, funders and advocacy agencies.
