Liter of Light, a World Habitat Award winner in 2014, is one of the 43 selected proposals for urban intervention that will be part of the Habitat III Village in Quito.
Habitat III Village is a unique and vibrant space where urban planners, organisations, and urban stakeholders from all over the world implement urban solutions, projects, and interventions as a live model and legacy of the New Urban Agenda in Quito.
Liter of Light solar bottles/poles will be installed in the plaza behind Arco de la Circasiana, along the path to the registration library and in other sites around El Ejido Park during the week of the Habitat III Conference.
Liter of Light will also hold training workshops in El Ejido Park:
- Saturday 15 October at 16.00: Solar Bucket Light Workshop AND limited streetlight building
- Tuesday 18 October at 14.00: Bottle on poles workshop and installation in the park (main workshop on solar streetlights)
- Thursday 20 October at 11.00 : Kerosene lamp workshop
