Homelessness (Programme Lead)
Patrick joined World Habitat in November 2018 as the Campaign Impact Manager for the European End Street Homelessness Campaign and became Programme Lead (Homelessness) in April 2020.
He spent the previous three and a half years working as an Innovation and Good Practice Project Manager at Homeless Link – the national membership body for organisations working to end homelessness. During this time Patrick worked with many of Homeless Link’s 750 member organisations across England, alongside European homelessness organisations. His main responsibility was managing the Strategic Alliance on Migrant Destitution (SAMD), a national coalition of nine organisations working to develop solutions for destitute migrants.
Prior to working at Homeless Link, Patrick spent five years at St Mungo’s, first as a frontline assessment worker and then in management of the Mayor of London’s No Second Night Out (NSNO) street assessment service. Additional experience has involved working at Human Rights Watch, Médecins Du Monde (DOWUK), and as an Outreach Assistant at Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT).
Following an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Geography – and spending 12 months as an English Teacher in South Korea – Patrick completed a master’s degree in Human Rights in 2010, specialising in refugee law. In 2017, he was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust (WCMT) Travel Fellowship, to investigate and research Canadian and German refugee housing models following the Syrian crisis.
