Carbon Management and Reduction (Programme Manager)
Jelly joined World Habitat in April 2012 as a Research Officer. She has been working as a Programme Manager since January 2015 in a number of roles, including in the World Habitat Awards team, on community-led housing and is currently managing our programme to reduce carbon in housing. Jelly took a six-month sabbatical leave in 2019 where she lived and travelled around Japan with family.
Her past experience includes environmental awareness-raising in Vietnam, doing initial research on integrating climate change adaptation and watershed management in Laos, and working in the private sector in China and in the Philippines. Jelly graduated with a Sociology degree from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s degree in Environmental Governance from Albert-Ludwigs Universität Freiburg in Germany. She also completed a part-time distance-learning postgraduate certificate on Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the Centre for Alternative Technology.
Jelly is currently on maternity leave.
