Sustainability Manager and CRM Co-ordinator

Jelly joined World Habitat in April 2012 as Research Officer. She worked with partners in carrying out a research on post-disaster housing reconstruction projects and coordinated the publication of the book ‘Still Standing?: Looking back at reconstruction and disaster risk reduction in housing’. She also worked with Housing Europe in communicating the results of the Powerhouse nearly Zero Energy Challenge project.

From 2015-2020, Jelly has been working as Programme Manager in a number of roles, including in the World Habitat Awards and Transfer and in the Community-led Housing programmes. She is currently Sustainability Manager and CRM Co-ordinator.

Her past experience includes environmental awareness-raising in Vietnam, doing initial research on integrating climate change adaptation and watershed management in Laos, and working in the private sector in China and in the Philippines. Jelly graduated with a Sociology degree from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s degree in Environmental Governance from Albert-Ludwigs Universität Freiburg in Germany. She also completed a part-time distance-learning postgraduate certificate on Architecture: Advanced Environmental and Energy Studies from the Centre for Alternative Technology.
